NOC Coffee CO. (Central)
NOC has had a shop on Graham street Central for a while now. Great place to grab a coffee on your way to work down from the mid-levels to the bustling offices of Central. They have a newer shop with more room nearby if you prefer the extra legroom. Check out the oh so cool concrete inspired design on Gough street.
People come here for:
- their great coffee
- its secluded location atop a hill on a pedestrian only street
- the outdoor seating with street views
What the reviewers are saying
Upon ordering my coffee I was taken aback by the cost attached however trooped on as I was greeted with a smooth, clean looking coffee. The taste was deep and fruity.
Elephant Grounds (Wan Chai)
The stomping grounds of coffee lovers in Hong Kong. The Elephant Grounds started by Kelvin Poon has a few outlets around town. Great coffee always brings a crowd. One sure way to know if a place makes good coffee is if you have to wait to be seated.
Pro tip: Also known for their ice cream sandwiches.
You will find:
- side hustlers hanging out with their Macbooks, free wifi and coffees
- brightly lit, wooden decor
- a buzzing atmosphere
Check out the one in Star Street area of Wan Chai and wander around the neighbourhood afterwards.
Cupping Room (Sheung Wan)
There are a few of these around Central, Sheung Wan and Wan Chai but our personal favourite is the recently opened one in POHO. The founder Kapo is an award wining barista, coming up on the podium of the Hong Kong Brewers Cup Championship for three consecutive years. Your coffee is in good hands here.
